Why Lebanon Needs Our Help

Lebanon is in the grip of a devastating humanitarian crisis that has pushed millions of people into poverty, stripped families of basic human needs, and left a country once known for its resilience on the brink of collapse. The combination of political instability, economic collapse, and the long-term effects of the 2020 Beirut port explosion has created a perfect storm of suffering, leaving 75% of the population below the poverty line and struggling to survive.

The economy has crumbled, with the Lebanese lira losing more than 90% of its value, making once-affordable goods out of reach for the average family. Unemployment rates are soaring, and entire sectors of society have been left destitute. The impact on health, education, and food security has been catastrophic, with the most vulnerable – children, the elderly, and refugees – bearing the brunt of this crisis.

Our Call to Action: Protecting Lebanon’s Most Vulnerable

This cause is about more than numbers; it’s about people. Families are going without meals, children are missing out on education, and hospitals are turning patients away because they lack the basic supplies to treat them. Lebanon’s healthcare system is on the verge of collapse, and winter is fast approaching, leaving those living in makeshift shelters at grave risk from the cold.

Food Insecurity: Over half the population faces food insecurity, and many families are eating only one meal a day, if that.
