Healthcare Access Initiative

The Problem:

In Gaza, access to healthcare for children is critically low. Hospitals are overwhelmed, underfunded, and struggle to meet the demands of the population. Children often suffer from preventable illnesses and injuries, with many unable to receive life-saving treatments due to shortages of medical supplies, equipment, and specialized care.

Moreover, many hospitals and clinics in Gaza are either partially destroyed or under-equipped, leaving healthcare workers overwhelmed and unable to meet the demand for life-saving care. Medical evacuations are rare due to border restrictions, meaning children who require specialized care have few, if any, options. Without intervention, many children face lifelong disabilities or death from otherwise treatable conditions.

Our Solution:

The Healthcare Access Initiative will focus on overcoming barriers to medical care for children in Gaza by directly addressing the shortage of medical supplies, equipment, and professional care. Our plan involves multiple levels of intervention to strengthen the local healthcare infrastructure while providing immediate care to children in need:

Through these efforts, our goal is not only to address immediate health concerns but also to strengthen the local healthcare system, making it more resilient and capable of handling future crises.
